About Midland Airfield Systems

Midland Airfield Systems provides integrated electrical, control, communications, aircraft arresting, and civil infrastructure systems for military airfields, civil airports, and government aviation facilities.

Our work focuses on the systems that support safe, reliable, and continuous airfield operations—from runway and taxiway lighting, electrical vaults, grounding, and lightning protection to PLC controls, fiber communications, arresting systems, underground utilities, and supporting civil works.

By coordinating electrical, controls, communications, and infrastructure under one project approach, Midland helps customers maintain and modernize aging systems, improve operational visibility, and build maintainable infrastructure for long-term performance.

Legacy System Modernization

Much of our work modernizes specialized aviation and industrial infrastructure where the underlying mechanical or operational system remains serviceable but its controls, electronics, communications, instrumentation or operator interfaces have become obsolete. We preserve viable infrastructure and replace obsolete technology with supportable, documented and maintainable architectures, an approach consistent with FAA technology-refresh and service-life-extension practices.

How We Work

Requirements, interface definition, architecture, design, fabrication, software, integration, field installation, verification, commissioning and as-built documentation, carried by one team. Our engineering division, CueBid Technologies, designs the electronics and software; Midland crews install, test and sustain them on live airfields.

Deliverables on every project: engineering drawings, control narratives, I/O schedules, network architecture drawings, panel drawings and schematics, cable schedules, software backups and configuration records, FAT and SAT procedures and records, O&M manuals and as-built drawings.
